CORONER: FIRE VICTIM SUCCUMBED TO SMOKE INHALATION

• The Lewis County Coroner’s Office said today the 69-year-old victim of Friday night’s house fire in Centralia died from smoke inhalation. Susan K. Davis was removed from the residence on the 1300 block of West Main Street following the 8:15 p.m. call about the fire, and transported to the hospital in critical condition where she was pronounced dead, according to authorities. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

THEFT

• Centralia police were called to the 1000 block E Street at about 1:10 p.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of tires.

• Chehalis police recovered a stolen vehicle at the 500 block of South Market Boulevard at about 10 p.m. yesterday. One person was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail.
