The case is being referred to prosecutors for charges of fourth-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department. The subject was not booked, according to police.

• A 45-year-old Centralia resident being detained for an alleged domestic assault allegedly kicked a police officer about 4:45 p.m. yesterday at the 500 block of South Diamond Street. Misty A. Rains was booked into the Lewis County Jail for third-degree assault, according to the Centralia Police Department.
INTIMIDATING
• Chehalis police were called about 3:45 p.m. yesterday regarding a third-party contact between an inmate at the Lewis County Jail and a person in Chehalis concluded Benjamin P. Hamilton, 36, had, allegedly, been attempting to intimidate a witness, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
