BREAK-IN AT HOUSE OF WORSHIP

• Chehalis police called just after midnight to a burglary in progress at a church on the 600 block of Northwest St. Helen’s Avenue located a suspect a short distance away and arrested him. Joshua A. Duncan, 32, from Chehalis, was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary, according to the Chehalis Police Department. It wasn’t immediately known if anything was missing, but the building had been “gone through,” according to police.

• A resident a the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street in Chehalis called police about 9:35 p.m. on Tuesday after returning home to find a window usually left only partially open was wide open and some pain medication was missing.

• Centralia police were called at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday to the 1000 block of Scammon Creek Road where (unspecified) items were reported stolen from an apartment while the resident was in the hospital.

• Centralia police were alerted about 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday that a wallet had been stolen from the 100 block of West High Street.

POLICE: IMPOSTER REVEALED

• After an individual went into the Centralia Police Department about 11 a.m. on Tuesday to inquire about a warrant in his name, police determined the subject’s brother had given the subject’s information during a traffic stop, according to the Centralia Police Department. A charge of identity theft is being referred to prosecutors in the case, according to police.

CAR PROWL

• Chehalis police were called to a hotel on the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday to take a report the rear license plate had been stolen off a vehicle here.

• Chehalis police called about 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday to Stan Hedwall Park on the 1500 block of Rice Road took reports of three vehicle prowls.

•  A Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm handgun was stolen from inside a vehicle parked at the 700 block of West First Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police about 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

MISSING WOMAN CENTRALIA

• Centralia police said an officer took a missing person report about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday on a 56-year-old Centralia woman, Lisa K. Angell. The case is associated with a location on the 600 block of South Diamond Street, according to the Centralia Police Department. Further details were not readily available.
