BURGLARY
• A deputy was called to the 100 block of Holcomb Road on Tuesday where sometime since June 8 someone had burglarized a home and a storage building and caused a lot of damage, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Missing are several chainsaws, a riding lawn mower and a refurbished three-wheeler, according to the sheriff’s office. The loss is estimated at as much as $50,000, Chief Deputy Bruce Kimsey said.
SHOPLIFT GONE BAD
• Centralia police were called to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday on a report that an individual used force to retain a shoplifted bottle of alcohol. This investigation is ongoing and the suspect should be identified soon, according to the Centralia Police Department.
CAR PROWL
• Chehalis police were called just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday regarding an overnight vehicle prowl on the 600 block of Northwest Rhode Island Place.
INTRUDER
• Morton police responded to the 200 block of Mossyrock Road West in Mossyrock to a possible female that was trespassing on the property at about 1:50 p.m. on Sunday. The officer was unable to locate the person but the new property owners are having problems with someone prying the locks open, according to the Morton Police Department.
SWINE AT-LARGE
• Police were called about 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday regarding two large pigs found roaming in the area of Bryden Street in Centralia that ended up in a horse stable area. It is unknown who the pigs belonged to at this time, according to the Centralia Police Department.
