AUTO THEFT
• Centralia police were called just after 7 o’clock this morning to take a report that a Honda Civic had been stolen during the night from the 300 block of South Buckner Street. License plate is AUX 5262, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Two people were arrested after a trooper pulled over a stolen vehicle, which the driver said she had purchased from someone named Donny. When the vehicle was searched, a loaded syringe with suspected methamphetamine was found as well as a key which did not operate any of the door locks, according to court documents. Destiny T. Runyan, 28, of rural Chehalis, and Kevin C. Huey, 27, from Centralia, were booked into the Lewis County Jail. Charging documents in the case do not reveal the type of vehicle recovered, nor do they indicate where in Lewis County the traffic stop took place; only that it occurred on today’s date. Runyan was charged today in Lewis County Superior Court with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. Huey was charged with only possession of a controlled substance.
• An abandoned stolen vehicle was located in a parking lot at Rock Street and Centralia College Boulevard about 12:50 a.m. today, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A bronze colored 1992 Honda Accord EX stolen on Wednesday from the 1000 block of Big Hanaford Road outside Centralia was found abandoned in a parking lot just before midnight at Locust Street and Washington Avenue in Centralia. It was returned to its owner, but the the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
• A deputy was called about 7:30 p.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of a 1994 Honda Accord from the 3000 block of Ives Road in Centralia. It was last seen by its owner on Wednesday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
• A silver 1997 Honda Accord was reported stolen just after 4 p.m. yesterday from Pear Street and Washington Avenue in Centralia. Its license plate reads ADV 0932, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• A red 1992 Honda Accord was reported stolen from King Street and Centralia College Boulevard at about 1:45 p.m. yesterday. It has a license plate reading AVJ 7872, according to the Centralia Police Department.
BURGLARY
• A 33-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon after a woman on the 100 block of Annonen Road outside of Winlock called 911 to say she’d found him in her guesthouse, which is for sale. She also found two bottles of wine in the guest house that came from her barn, according to court documents. Justin S. Cargill was arrested for second-degree burglary and booked into the Lewis County Jail, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said some change and a pocket knife were believed to have been taken and the suspect was believed to have also gone into the woman’s home. Cargill has an address in California, but told authorities this afternoon in Lewis County Superior Court he has been staying at a homeless shelter in Hazel Dell.
THEFT
• Chehalis police were called just before 11 a.m. yesterday about the theft of equipment from the 1500 block of North National Avenue.
• Centralia police were called at 8:20 a.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of money from a residence at the 700 block of G Street.
CAR PROWL
• Police were called about 10:45 a.m. yesterday to take a report of the theft of a wallet from an unlocked vehicle parked at the 400 block of West Sixth Street in Centralia.
DRUGS
• A 17-year-old boy arrested for an outstanding warrant about 4:25 p.m. yesterday in Safeway at the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue was also allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine, according to the Centralia Police Department. He was wanted by the Chehalis Police Department in connection with an incident near Penny Playground on Wednesday, according to the Centralia Police Department.
• Centralia police are referring a case for charges of minor in possession of marijuana in connection with the arrest of a 17-year-old boy for an outstanding warrant about 2:50 p.m. yesterday at the 1200 block of Lum Road.
