BURGLARY SILVER CREEK

• A deputy was called yesterday to the 100 block of Filbert Road in Silver Creek where sometime after 11 p.m. Monday and before 8 a.m. yesterday someone broke into a storage container and stole power tools including a Stihl chainsaw, clothing and other items. A lock was cut, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

AUTO THEFT

• A white Honda Civic was reported as stolen sometime overnight from the 200 block of Railroad Avenue in Centralia, according to a report made to police just after 6:30 a.m. today.

• A deputy looking for a stolen 1998 Honda Civic in Vader yesterday evening came across the car with a 15-year-old boy behind the wheel in the area of the 500 block of Sixth Street, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. The Vader teen had an outstanding warrant and was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, Chief Deputy Dusty Breen said. The deputy learned a 28-year-old Kelso resident was involved and subsequently located Marcial Gonzalez and booked him into the Lewis County Jail for the same offense. Breen said the car had new damage to its rear.

• A black 1996 Honda Civic was reported stolen from the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard just before 3 p.m. yesterday. The four-door car has a license plate of BEW 3460, according to the Centralia Police Department.

CAR PROWL

• Centralia police were called about 8:40 p.m. yesterday to take a report that chainsaws and a leaf blower had been stolen from the bed of a truck while it was parked at the 1200 block of West Plum Street.

• Police were called to the 100 block of East High Street in Centralia about 7:35 p.m. yesterday where someone had stolen a stereo from a locked vehicle.

• A purse was reported stolen from a locked vehicle at the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard at about 1:10 p.m. yesterday.

ASSAULT

• Centralia police were called just before 11 p.m. yesterday to the 1700 block of South Gold Street where a man reported he’d been assaulted by three unknown males after meeting up with his child’s mother during a visitation. The victim however decided not to make an official statement to police, according to the Centralia Police Department.

• Centralia police were called to the 800 block of Eshom Road about 8:10 a.m. yesterday for an alleged fourth-degree assault. The case, with a 15-year-old girl as the suspect, was referred to prosecutors for charging, according to the Centralia Police Department.

ON THE ROAD, OFF THE ROAD

• Centralia police were called just after noon yesterday to take a report from an individual who discovered the information they had been provided by another on Friday after a vehicle collision turned out to be false information. A suspect has been identified and officers are still investigating, according to the Centralia Police Department. The case is associated with a location on the 700 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia, according to police.
