Sharyn’s Sirens: Daily police and fire roundup

LIGHTED JESUS LIFTED FROM OUTDOOR NATIVITY SCENE

• It happens almost every year at this time: Baby Jesus was stolen from a nativity scene on the front lawn of a Centralia home. Police were called yesterday to the 900 block of F Street to take a report of the theft of the lighted plastic likeness of the holy infant. Police Sgt. Carl Buster said Mary and Joseph were left behind. Buster said the figure was about the size of a backpack. There is no suspect information, according to police. He called it a likely a random act of stupidity. “Usually they’re people who can’t keep their hands off other people’s stuff,” Buster said.

WINDOWS BROKEN AT DOWNTOWN BUSINESS

• Centralia police were called about 11 a.m. yesterday to the 600 block of West Main Street in Centralia where two windows were broken out of a business.
