KATU TV in Portland reports a freeway rest area in Clark County was shut down this afternoon as law enforcement searched for 36-year-old Derral Kenneth Mosby, wanted on warrants out of Lewis County.

The TV station says Mosby’s father called the state patrol, telling them his son had just called him and told him he was shot in the leg and was at the southbound Gee Creek rest area on Interstate 5, near Ridgefield.

The rest area has since been reopened as he was not found, according to Trooper Will Finn. Troopers impounded a car Mosby had borrowed but didn’t see any evidence inside the car that anyone had been injured, according to KATU.

Mosby is described as 6-feet 8-inches tall, is known to frequent the Centralia area and has ties to Rochester and Ridgefield.
