DRUG ARREST THIS MORNING IN CENTRALIA

• Police arrested a 28-year-old Curtis resident this morning for possession of methamphetamine. Justin R. Moon was booked into the Lewis County Jail after the approximately 5:30 a.m. contact by an officer at the 1200 block of St. Helens Street in Centralia, according to the Centralia Police Department. Police also referred for possible charges a case of vehicle prowl in connection with  Moon, police reported.

VEHICLES STOLEN

• Chehalis police were called about 5 p.m. yesterday about the theft of a vehicle from Southwest First Street and Southwest Cascade Avenue.

• A Honda car was stolen from in front of a Centralia home over night and found later yesterday several blocks away, according to the Centralia Police Department. It happened near the 900 block of G Street.

• Somebody stole a child’s electric motorcycle from a garage on the 400 block of South Gold Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police yesterday evening.

BREAK-INS AND THEFTS

• Centralia police responded yesterday morning to a burglary at the 1100 block of Elm Street. Further details were not reported.

• A stereo was reported stolen from a vehicle locked inside an address on the 1000 block of South Gold Street in Centralia, according to a report made to police Monday morning.

• Centralia police took a report Monday morning of a vehicle window broken and stereo stolen from the 3700 block of Northpark Drive. On Sunday morning, an officer was called to 1000 block of Madrona Avenue where someone had prowled a vehicle and stolen a backpack and a GPS unit.

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reported yesterday they are investigating more than $4,000 damage and items stolen when somebody broke into a motor home and two campers near Mossyrock. A deputy was called Monday evening after an individual discovered the thefts at the 600 block of Green Mountain Road. Taken in the incident which occurred sometime after Aug. 22 were items such as BB guns, binoculars, a Playstation, games, CDs and DVDs, according to Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown.

• A woman who was moving to Morton returned to her Mossyrock area home to find somebody had broken in as well as smashed the windshield and rear window of a truck there. The burglary on the 600 block of Winston Creek Road occurred sometime in the two weeks before Friday, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Missing were indoor grow lights and computer parts, Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown said.

• A burglary was reported in Chehalis just before midnight on Friday night, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

VEHICLE VERSUS BIKE

• Centralia firefighters on their way to another incident stopped on the 700 block of Harrison Avenue just before 1 p.m. on Monday when they came across a bicyclist that had run into a pickup truck. The adult female on the bike suffered only minor injuries, according to Riverside Fire Authority.

MAN CITED AFTER HIS DOG BITES BOY ON BIKE

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office reported yesterday they cited a 30-year-old Morton man on Saturday after his dog reportedly chased a 12-year-old on a bicycle, circled him and bit him on the calf on Saturday. It happened on the 700 block of Davis Lake Road and the boy was taken to Morton General Hospital for treatment of two puncture wounds, according to Chief Civil Deputy Stacy Brown. Joseph A. Cowles was given a citation for having a vicious dog, Brown reported.

SUPER-ANNOYING CUSTOMER

• A 23-year-old man described by police as transient was arrested in Chehalis after he allegedly followed a bartender into the bathroom and held the door shut. It happened about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday at a drinking establishment on the 500 block of Pacific Avenue, according to the Chehalis Police Department. Hunter W. Buck reportedly made advances toward the 45-year-old woman, detective Sgt. Rick McNamara said. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail for unlawful imprisonment.
