Kirotv.com reports a Lewis County resident is behind bars for allegedly shaking a four-month-old girl into unconsciousness.
Richard Thompson says Kyle Davison, 22, was watching the infant for his ex-girlfriend, a baby that was transported to the hospital with brain trauma.
Davison was arrested in Mineral and was charged yesterday in Lewis County Superior Court.

For those that think that the mother is not at fault here, need to seriously re evaluate yourselves. She WILLINGLY left her 4 month old child in the hands of someone that had NO BUSINESS watching her. Regardless of what she was going to do. If she honestly was going to the store, its not the hard to pack the baby up and go. I do a hundred times a day. It makes me feel better when the child is with me, when I am in contact at all times. Obviously her priorities aren’t straight, all she wants to do is go out and have a good time, instead of spending much needed time with her child. Personally I want to see the authorities step in and take the child from her care. Take one look at the young woman in question’s behavior, and the answer is clear. She is the least bit concerned about what that man did to her child, in fact, SHE MISSES HIM. SHE STILL LOVES HIM. I don’t are how much of an imbecile you are, EVERYONE knows not to shake a 4 month old baby. And if you don’t know that, you are seriously damaged. This child will never have the chance at a regular life, and if the mother couldn’t protect her to begin with, she doesn’t need to be with her now that she is going to have a lot of obstacles. Obviously parenthood is too hard for her, considering all she cares about is partying, mudding, and finding the next party. Its time someone did something about this, before its too late next time around.

I don’t know either person – the mother or the former bf – but really, what if he really was a nice guy before this? What if this truly was his first error in judgment? I’m not excusing the baby shaking, but does that automatically mean that his life before that day was one of an idiot and loser? He was obviously trustworthy enough for this “devoted mother” to leave her child with him. This is a horrible situation, but I really can’t see from these basic articles that he was a POS before this?
Another thought that I had when I first read that the baby stopped breathing – maybe, like “Stacey” says – he started to panic, and was trying to get the baby to breathe again and took it too far?

Hoping that poor baby will be able to live some semblance of a normal life – but what I’d like to know is what the HELL what she looks like has to do with ANYTHING (as Motorhead has repeatedly said)…whether a woman is good looking or dirt ugly has absolutely NOTHING to do with what kind of a mother she is! Okay, here’s the thing.. What I’m reading here is Larry Butler Fan jumping to a whole lot of conclusions without showing any proof of the allegiations… Such as calling the person in question a wanna be gang banger and drop out druggy. Obviously, a horrible incident has occurred, and the responsible party (the ex boyfriend, the one that commited the crime) needs to be punished for the injuries caused. Panicked or not, you NEVER shake a baby. The mother is not at fault, as you have no proof that she had any foreknowledge that this person was not a person she could trust with the care of her child. That’s like saying parents are at fault when daycare providers beat their children, or teachers have sex with their children. We, as parents, do the best we can to protect our children. Its a very unfortunate fact that sometimes those we trust betray that trust.
I am a mother of 4, in case you want to say I have no idea what I’m talking about. My kids range in age from 19 to 8 yrs old. How about instead of bashing on the mother who is no doubt beside herself with worry for her child, pray for the child to have the fullest recovery possible.
